^^What kind of car was the douche-waffle driving when he crashed you?

Predictably, he was driving the crown jewel of the douche-waffles...a 1998 Chevy Cavalier...

...I hold my head in embarrassment... Embarrassed

Think of the bright side...because of the..."high quality" parts used in the license plate bracket, you were able to catch them...

At this point, I hope the car gets written off,

From your description of the damage it seems like a sure thing.

What are you thinking on?; new or used?

Likely used.  I've purchased both new and used, and IMO the value equation of a few year old excellent condition used vehicle is too much to pass up, especially with the great CPO programs out there.

Either I'm a cheap b@stard or I simply prefer the sight of a growing investment portfolio to the olfactory pleasure of new car smell.

If the G gets fixed, it'll likely be a drive into the ground machine.

If the G gets written off, below are the current top 6, in my pref order, (wifes pref in brackets):

Audi A3 (5)
Mk5 VW GTI (6)
Infiniti G35x (4)
Acura RDX (1)
Acura TL (3)
Acura TSX (2)

I'm thinking the best compromise would be the GTi and that is my unbiased answer, honest.

Bummer.   Happy car shopping.

No Viper on your list?   I recall a pic of you in a Viper GTS somewhere.   Smiley

I feel your pain.  I had the wife in standard shifts, but she's not an enthusiast so she is now driving auto permanently.  Better of her and the vehicle.

I'm so glad my wife likes to drive manual, I can compromise on many things but not the gearbox when it comes to buying something sporty.

Eeek, quite the story alright! Glad to hear you're okay, and if the G20t is considered totalled hopefully the insurance pays out generously.
