You've been drinking tonight, eh?? A Prius is NOT an enthusiast car in my/our world...but I suppose if you're a hypermiler, it is THE enthusiast car....LOL
Still funny just the same....

So is the new Ferrari F458 an enthusiast car? No stick will be offered!

(and yes....Yes I am awesome!)
Yes...your awsomeness is never in question.
Despite the perception that I might want to put cars, people or arguments in specific boxes, I am a believer in the degrees of things.
Using that here, I would call the Ferrari F438 an enthusiast car 'cause for that money, there would be lots of other perhaps for "sane" choices...I dunno...something softer from BMW or Mercedes perhaps. If it WAS available in a manual...then I would say the manual is MORE of an enthusiast choice. I do feel that driving enthusiasts should bemoan the fact that cars like this will be available with only manumatics...the days of the manual transmission started to be numbered years ago.
Perhaps time to make that distinction in my head of a car enthusiast vs. a driving enthusiast...Erik has made that point before...nice one.
I'm very pleasantly surprised to hear you say that the Prius isn't an enthusiast car in our world...here's what you said about a driverless TT!
Hmmmmm.....I think it has to have an "enthusiast" in the car to qualify. However, if their version of being a car enthusiast is making robots from cars.............whatever makes them happy.
It might be a robotics enthusiast's car...but certainly not a driving enthusiast's car.
