Well, I finally got through my 1st tank of gas in the Insight. 933 kilometers from 37.5L of fuel!! 4.0L/100kms.  Not too shabby.  I think I can do better as I refine my driving technique.  But still mighty impressive.

That's wonderful news, rrocket, now I can consume more fuel to make up for your lack of consumption. Wish there were more like you.... Wink Wink Grin Tongue

Not bad.  I'm more impressed with the Fusion Hybrid I was driving this week.  I averaged 5.4L/100km all highway driving which is damn good.  And it is the quietest car I have ever driven it is awesome!

Some city driving I have averaged 4.4L/100km for a mid-sized sedan!  I love the fact that the Ford can go to 75km/h on battery 90% of my driving is less than that which means a lot of battery only driving!

It's pretty flat where I live.  And Ovr50...I'm always happy to help members of this forum.  Just call me Helpy Helperson.  Grin

I think I'm still more impressed with my Echo......a 265,000km car nailing down 5.6L/100km over the last year.... Smiley

That's pretty impressive.   You're giving those VW TDIs something to think about.  Smiley

And from what the reviews I've read say the Fusion Hybrid feels like a normal Fusion.  Drives well, doesn't have any funny habits... but just so happens to get amazing fuel economy.

rrocket, how quirky is the Insight to drive or does it drive like any small Honda would?
