I have a 2007 Hyundai Entourage for which all four sub frame bushings need to be replaced as they are finished. A lot of knocking sounds from suspension area on uneven road or when accelerating from the stop position. The dealer has finally received the parts, but I can't get the van in the shop for another two weeks. I belive I've started having this problem since the end of summer.
My question is: Can it be dangerous to drive with these sub frame bushings finished?

Giddy up,
Cosmo

Sub-frame bushings or lower control arm bushings? Seems odd to have beat a set of sub-frame bushings out at such a young age.

More likely the sway bar link bushings, you would need big time mileage for control arm bushings to be gone, and usually they are not servicable and requires a new control arm.  Sub-frame bushing, highly doubtful.

Sounds like it might be tough on the tires:

...Apparently there is a bad batch of frame bushings out there on Entourage, Tuscon and Santa Fe's.

My two front bushings had self destructed and the two rear about to fall out as well (about 8000 kms on the odo). All replaced under warranty however I had also noticed excessive tire wear which Hyundai wouldn't address as I was told to speak with the tire manufacturer directly. (very non helpful)

In the end I was able to get the tires replaced under warranty after convincing them that the bushing problem (being part of the suspension) had caused excessive wear on the tires. So if anyone is noticing unusual tire wear this problem may be the cause and if so you should fight to have the tires replaced under warranty since the wear is a symptom of a failed Hyundai warrantied part. This saved me from buying a new set and I am now experiencing normal wear to date.
