"I have ordered the tint film, I just need to pick a date to bring in my car.  Is 35% close to the legal limit?"

When I got mine done, the tinter told me you must have a minimum of 35% light entering the front windows. The rear can go as low as 5%. Usual tint shades are 35%, 20% and 5%.

I got 35% on the front and 20% on all rear windows. Makes a difference with headlights and sunlight in the summer. No regrets with tinting.

I just met up with my friend who moved to Red Deer, AB, he just got a 2009 Altima, loaded with everything but V6 and Navi. He loves it. I confirmed he got heated seats, heated side mirriors. Block heater was no charge from the dealer.

He says the CVT is quiet and butter-smooth. Better than a 4 speed automatic. He said he gets about 800km on a  full tank.

Block heater is standard from Nissan.

Please tell us it was $40!! and not $100 per tire :o

No, they were seriously trying the charge me $399, but I pointed it out to them and they took it out.  I think it was cheaper to fill it up again, but not sure how much it was exactly.

My wife wanted the leather seats for that reason; she was afraid that I'd curse if she spilled coffee on the fabric seat.  I'm planning to apply the 3M scotchguard fabric protector to repel some of the potential spills/stains.  But I like how the fabric seats hold me in place much better than the leather seats.

I've been using 3M Scotchgard on my fabric seats since new.  It needs to be re-applied every 3 years.  They still look pretty good 11 years later.

I heard about that product and I plan to apply it when I get my bonus Canadian Tire money next month :)

I just got the California Car duster and rubber floor mats to try to keep my black car clean. :D

Cheaper?  You mean to say they actually charged you for the air in your tires?

How much to top up the blinker fluid? ;D

$400 for nitrogen in your tires?!?! Wow, that takes the cake.... a new one for me...

It's only supposed to be about $5 per tire.

The new way to attempt to rip someone off...

I know, it's amazing how dealers try to disrespect your intelligence by trying to rip you off.
I am not going to pay them more than $5 (total) to fill up my tires.

BTW, what happens if you inflate nitrogen-filled tire with regular air?

"what happens if you inflate nitrogen-filled tire with regular air"

I'm assuming they actually drain the regular air out and re-fill with nitrogen. However, I'm guessng they do just that, "topping up" with nitrogen.

Never used nitrogen in my tires. I heard there is no real difference. My mechanic told me to save my money and use regular air and check the pressure every 1-2 weeks or before a long road trip (eg. driving to USA).

So you can't mix regular air with nitrogen eh?

I guess I'll get them to drain the nitrogen out when i need to re-inflate the tires.

Thank you, I like yours much more.

I had a chance to take over a lease of 08 TL, but let it go because of $1,700 down payment asked by the lady...

I love the 09 TL's split spoke wheels, very nice.
