can i put a 5.0 in a 97 mustang gt i need to know bad and yes i do have a welder and a flame wrench

Yes, you can...they are both on the SN95 platform.  It will be a bit of a PITA though.  At the very least you'll need:

ECU from a pre 1996 car.
K-Member from a 94-95 Mustang
Misc. wiring harnesses
Different flywheel and likely the bellhousing
Some other bits...

i will weld the engine in and i thought the cluch and all that was the same and the wiring was the same just not the same plugswith a wiring diagram and i know a little work to exhaust but i do have my friends a welder and flame wrench

The engine ECU is different.  You don't have this, the car won't run.  PERIOD.  The bellhousing bolt pattern is different too.  The 4.6 flywheels is bigger too.  The starters are different and mount differently.  It's not as easy as you think it is to do this mod.  There are other differences too..but it's been awhile since I played around with a 4.6/5.0

gas is not a thing to me so u think it will be eazy er to just throw a carb on it and t.5 tranny msd box and out of tank fuel pump
