In the video, the 911 is obviously not as planted as the Corvette.  The chassis team at Chev has done their work very well...

I guess it depends which video you watch.

The one of the 7' 15" Porsche Nurnburgring round, that driver and the car are smooth. In comparison, those records in a Viper and Vette, they look like they are driving over their limits...loose and uncomposed in most corners.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

Another winter project completed. OK, so I started late February; I'm getting old and not as motivated to spend time in a cold garage. As a result of six weeks touring the Alps on my motorcycle, I didn't get on the road till I got back in July.

Twelve new spark plug wires, two new coil wires and a dual-distributor rebuild. The spark plug wires were almost sixteen years old and the insulation had cracks anywhere there was a tight radius bend. I made my own ignition wires using Beru cable and M3 terminals. The Beru crimper produced professional crimps. The distributor has a toothed drive belt and was just as old...the secondary distributor is driven off the primary distributor.

I've said this before, you better know how to wrench on one of these or have deep pockets for dealership servicing. Replacing the plugs wires was time consuming, especially when I got right into it and ended up cleaning the engine bay and all parts in detail. These engines are really quite simple even though the engine compartment looks busy when everything is in place.

All cleaned up for another sixteen years...

And no left over parts or fasteners. It started first shot.  :)
