Lancer's angry face has been transplanted on the Outlander for 2010. I like that face on the Lancer, but it should have stayed there. I definitelly like the current design better.
However, it looks like Mitsu improved some of the design elements and added more features.
How do you like it (or not)?

Big vehicle, big grill.  The family resemblance is clear.

I'm with you, Carcrazy...   I really like the grill on the Lancer, but it just looks sort of silly on the Outlander.  I, too, like the current generation's styling a LOT more.

Let's not go there... Toyota is not exactly a good example when it comes to exterior/interior design (just look at their latest "achievement" - the new 4Runner).

But at least they make up for it by producing fun and exhilarating-to-drive vehicles.  Oh wait...   Lips Sealed

I guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the facelift.

Looks very serious and upscale in black, I think I like it more, judging by the photo. I doubt it will as sharp in any other colour, unless the offer the same grille in chrome to go along with white and lighter tones.

Looks like they have nick the front off a lancer and welded it to the front of this outlander.  Wink

Looks good.

Wonder how reliable these vehicles are ? Read somewhere about paint chip/peeling issues. Otherwise, might be worth a test drive.

From my experience, almost as reliable a vehicle can be. FWIW, Consumer Reports ranked the Outlander no.2, after Honda Element.
The paint chipping was a real issue on the 2007-2008 models, but it's been addressed by a design change in 2009 (different side sills). I've never heard about paint peeling though.

Hmmm... not sure.  I like the front end, just not sure on the Outlander.

It at least gives it a "unique" look that is sorely lacking nowadays in the CUV/SUV world.  But do I like it?  No.

 I Agree

I still say that front end treatment screams:  "Darth Vader's ride"

Week 3 in the Outlander has begun.
More not to like; Tinny sounding doors when they shut and a range of ~500km/tank highway. Tongue
That Altima that I rented back in the Spring had a great range of ~800km/tank.

Are the tanks rough the same size
What I did not like about the Outlander was the centre console was to close to drive area

Thanks AB, you just reminded me of another dislike; The center console is to far back for resting my right elbow. The Malibu that I was driving this past Spring in FL had a nice sliding adjustable center console.
