I mount my winter wheels on at the first sign of snow.   I just bought a new 25" breaker bar.  I can retire my old shorty tire iron and steel pipe extension combo.

Usually Rememberance day (or that weekend) since its a holiday in NS and I have the day off and time to switch them. Might be earlier this year though is the temp continues to drop. Seems like the 18s on the GTI are very prone to faltspotting when it gets cooler. Don't want to get caught in any early snow freexzing rin with such realitivley wide tires. Not looking forward to the ugly steels than the realtivley squishy 16 innch snows.

Around here we do the change-overs Thanksgiving to mid-April, sometimes longer depending on forecasts.

And we have ours on separate rims, making the change rather easy.

The boss get hers put on the day or so before the first storm, installed by me, in the driveway. Mine will get put on same time at work by the techs(@#$%ing TPMS), too much money for a set of extra rims and sensors.

For the Sebring, it's April and October.

I'm surprised the Saf hasn't answered the "when do you mount your winter tires" by saying "after dinner and a movie".  Saf?
