I was told to get the under-side of my CRV oil sprayed, as the rust is beginning to appear.
Is it better to have it sprayed with oil, that drips.  Or the dripless kind?

What age of a vehicle are we talking about? For the most part Krown it the only service that will be recommended from posters on this board. And yes it will drip.

CRV 2000

Forget about it, it's already shot. Honda sheetmetal doesn't last very long.

Don't listen to him..... While it is far better to spray to prevent the rust (IE: I do my cars every 2nd year from new), spraying does help to stop rust in its tracks. It will slow the further rusting on your CRV.

Go for chemical spray like Known or Dura-Check. Stuff stay on metal better that just plain oil.

i have always oil sprayed my vehicles from new, every year.

from what i'm told the Krown stuff only sticks where it sprays and does not seap into every nook in the metal.

that's what the oil does, is gets in everywhere, and drips.  expect a mess for a while and on the driveway or garage floor.  i keep a bag of oil dry around and let it soak up the oil.

never too late to start spraying your vehicle.  at least it will slow down the rusting

I did Oil Gard regular one year - nice but what a mess.

Have done Oil Gard dripless since then with good results. I think a lot depends on the skill and care used in  the application.
