Recently, I needed to replace my 2003 mustang wheels. I looked around in the lower mainland Ford dealers and aftermarket places. I decided I didn't like the prices so I tried the place where I bought the car in 2003, AM Ford.
To my amazement they had the stock wheels I wanted and got a "really good price". So I put them on my Visa and send Purolator to pick them up and bring to my home in the Lower Mainland. They arrive and I take them to be put on.
Three (3) of four wheels (4) are bent. Now I know why I got such a good deal. I go back and forth with the Parts Manager and he say's its the courier fault right from the start and begins a clain against Purolator, which by the way is my account not theirs. I told him the boxes are fine and they are not damage, he keeps on saying thats its the couriers fault. Finally I get pissed off, that if I send them back I pay the courier again and they don't.
So I send the wheels to get straighten in Richmond and put them on my car. Once I get the bills I send a letter to AM Ford wanting them to pay to have them straighten or send my money back for three rims. I get a phone call from the parts manager saying they will not do a thing and you need to go after the courier. I said put that in writing, he's says they won't.
I send a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and AM Ford refuses to respond to them also.Thats why they have D minus rating
So, just to let all you people from the Kootenays know, AM Ford is NOT the good cooporate citizen you all think they are. They still own me $400.

Small claims court could be an option.

AM Ford is claiming the wheels where bent in shipping from Trail to the Lower Mainland, but the boxes are not damaged in any way. In fact on the boxes that are the original, says UPS shipped them from Ontario in 2003 to Trail. So they have been sitting on them since 2003 till 2009. So they can't make a claim against UPS but think Purolator has damaged them. I beleive they where bent from the factory.

Why make a claim agaist Purolator as that would be dishonest, especially if they did nothing wrong. AM Ford needs to stand up and take responsibility. It shouldn't have to go to small claims court.

People still drink Kokanee? You know theres no glacier n Creston?

The best part of the claim is that the wheels got bent without even scratching the box. That alone challenges my mind...

leftee, I know Ford has nothing to do with that, but you can try to contact them on this. Those wheels are aftermarket or Ford original product?

Why wouldn't you just contact Visa and dispute the charge?...you didn't get what you contracted for and if the packaging/box wasn't damaged at all it's pretty hard to claim transit damage by the courier.
