Importing Sprinter Van from USA to Canada
« on: September 15, 2009, 05:34:28 am »
I am looking for some information on importing a Sprinter passenger van from the usa (freightliner).

Are daytime running lights installed on all sprinters, but either on or off, depending on electronic settings?

Does anyone know what modifications need to be made to the speedometer?  The 2009 model I am looking at only has MPH...no kmPH? Costs?

Any other vehicle modifications necessary?

Thanks

Jeff

My insurance company required that I change the clocks when I enquirer about a US Savanna. That was imported here and was on a dealer lot. Cost around 400.00.  :)

 ???

  Of course, we have metric time and therefore the clocks (more than one, pretty fancy van  :D ) need to be changed.  No need to woory about the speedo/odometer of course, just the time.

Would you need a 24 hour clock ???

No, I think metric time is based on a 10 hour day (or a 100 hour week, whatever you prefer)...  ;)

A new sprinter van starts at $46,000 here, not cheap for sure.

Wondwe what the US prices are for used units?
