Obs on this Tire for GTRV '97 Aerostar
« on: September 10, 2009, 12:27:44 am »
As I can't find a decent tire in the recommended size for our '97 Aerostar XLT, I believe the following would be the best alternative (and closest in size):

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500  225/70/14.....Any observations / experience?  Thanks in advance, bill.

215/70R14 is an approved size for that vehicle. Try the Toyo Observe G-02 Plus http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Toyo&tiremodel=Observe+G%2D02+plus

Thanks for the info....The OEM tire size is 215/75R14 (due to the fact that it is the extended version [I believe].
The back axle max. weight is 2950 pounds ( the front is less....Can't remember exactly.
