Looks like the concept is going into production the Hyundai ix35. Funny the grill reminds me a lot of Honda CRV grill.

Quote
Hyundai's new "fluidic" design language finds confident expression in the sweeping, gently curved lines of the Hyundai ix35. The hexagonal grille previewed on the Hyundai ix-onic concept at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show moves into mass production on the Hyundai ix35, a defining look that will serve to unify the family of future Hyundai products. To achieve the desired dynamic and sporty image, Hyundai ix35 gets an aggressive belt line coupled with a low-to-the-ground feel which is enhanced by the optional 225/55 R18 wheels.

Also resembles a Nissan Rogue, IMO.

Hyundai is getting to have quite a comprehensive lineup of vehicles. Good for them.

Yes very from the side and back.

replacing the Tuscon?

Yes I believe so. Originally it was called a Tuson. But Hyundai are changing all their vehicles names to i series. I guess that must be cooler....   Wink

Looks to me like the "i" and "x" are a copy of BMW naming systems. Nobody ever accused the Asian makers of being original..... Wink Grin

I think the i series naming is just for Europe. The Elantra touring is sold as the i30 across the pond.

there is already a thread on this vehicle started long ago:
http://www.canadiandriver.com/forum/index.php/topic,60736.0.html
For NA market it will be called a Tucson and will likely have different engine options. Whats the point to start a thread on something not even relevant to Canada?
