Not terrible, but nose looks very big. Roof is sloping a bit too much to my liking, but rear headroom still looks reasonable. I'll have to see in person.

I'll be interested to see engine, transmission and drivetrain options, as well as price of course.

I dunno....I'm not fond of it in pictures.  I also think the Porsche Panamera is hideous.  But most reports I've read says it looks much better in the flesh.  Toyota's Venza doesn't look too flattering in pictures either, but is actually quite nice in the flesh.

I guess I'll have to see if I warm up to it some after I finally see it for real.

Venza looks fine except the grill, Toyota doesn't know what to do with grills anymore.

Yes! Well, no. It depends. Autoblog thinks it's just a bad rendering, like they got the scale wrong on the front end. If that's true (if they shrink the front end to match the rest) I like it.

Might be a contender to replace my Outback in a few years.

I dunno.  Because of new Japanese pedestrian safety laws, front ends of vehicles have to be higher....So it's quite possible that what you see is what you get....

Official "photos" or not, there's some pretty heavy photo shopping going on in those pix from Honda.  I'm betting it will look a lot better in the metal than these quasi artist's renditions and we'll all breathe a sigh of relief.  Unless Honda is trying to carve a new market segment with this hideous caricature.  rrocket's right.  It reminds me a lot of the Pontiac Abscessztek.

Venza is a reasonably nice-looking car by itself, but compared to this atrocity it is a beauty.

Wow. That front 3/4 pic doesn't look to promising. The rear 3/4 view is better IMO.

Hopefully that front end won't look so out of proportion in the flesh. If not, the Honda/Acura design team definitely have some strange ideas on front end styling.

Makes sense that it could have something to do with pedestrian safely requirements.
