So, Hyundai nay-sayers, who did they copy for this design?  ;)

I like the design myself but I'm afraid that the rear headroom will suffer quite a bit. It almost look like a four-door coupe, and I've already said that I dislike those for that same exact reason.

But it's certainly a very nice-looking design! It looks agressive, especially the side profile and the rear... I'm not sold on the front/grille though, I hope it'll look better when other shots are released.

Mercedes-Benz CLS comes to mind shape wise.

Shnak, you scrappy today? bored?  I'ts nice with some cues of the Benz, maybe the Passat, but I will judge when I can see one.

Was thinking the same.

Otherwise, talk about a roll. Hyundai's on absolute fire, knocking them all out of the park.

Agree.

I also wonder about rear and side visibility, which tend to be more important issues in the family sedan segment than with, say, sports coupes. Guesses about the timing of arrival in our market, engine options etc.?

There are so many cars this Sonata has ripped off it gives me a headache just thinking about it.

What's the deal with your connection to Hyundai/Kia Shnak...I must have missed it.

Maybe if they want a car they can actually get in and out of...

Huh.
A nice looking Hyundai. Who would have thunk it.

Sure they got the tracing paper out, but now they are cribbing from some of the nicer German designs, instead of the more boring of the Japanese ones. Nice move.

Does your superhuman logic tell you in advance of any details that this car is difficult to enter and exit?

I think I said I liked it.
I like this one too. Good to see they are getting their inspiration from better designs.
Then again, I know you are not a BMW kinda guy....

Actually tho, GM needs to come up with their own design language again tho. GM lead the world in design for a really long time. Time to get back to that. I really like what they have done with the current Malibu. The TOTL ones are about the nicest looking car in the class. VERY far cry from the horrendous looking last generation. I mean, the previous Malibu was so ugly and boring, it could have been a Toyota. :D

I don't mind some BMWs..and I rather like this Hyundai (and most of their newer stuff) ALOT. I prefer most Hyundais stuff over most current Toyotas.

What a beautiful design.....IMO this car is going to be a big winner.

Well, I don't see influence from any of its direct competitors (Accord, Camry, Fusion, Altima, Malibu)... do you?

What's the deal with your connection to Hyundai/Kia Shnak...I must have missed it.

Bought a new Sportage 3 years ago, bought an old Accent 6 months ago. Other than that, no connection.  :)
