There's already a Chevy and a Cadillac version of this exact same vehicle (Equinox and second-gen SRX).  I thought people wanted GM to not sell four different versions of the same vehicle?  Well, you got what you asked for.

No we didn't.  We asked to just let GM die a peaceful death and not use our money to prop them up....:)

GMC Terrain would make the third variation of the same car. The fourth wouldn't matter anymore.

Just another reason to get rid of GMC as a brand....I could understand Buick needing something like (granted, not the scraps leftover from Saturn, mind you) this but GMC?  Chevy's got all that covered already in spades.

Whoa - chill peeps. The master plan as decreed by GM to the Obamaites called for four divisions deleting Pontiac. GMC was being kept although I can't recall anything specific saying they would be the only trucks offered. Equinox & Terrain were underway when they filed so maybe too late to stop.

With the dealer network pared down to a GM shop, the plan, I thought, was to have Caddy, Buick Chevy and GMC with Chevy offering entry level cars and then Buick the near luxury. Chevy would be cars leaving GMC to do the truckie thing. That to me makes sense, like GM notices or even cares. ::)

Personally I'm glad they dropped the Buick Vue - it was too porcine to begin with.
