09 Tundra Reg Cab 2wd 4.7. At 22-23km, a metalic noise can be heard coming from the driver's side. A suggestion was made that the ABS is performing a self check at that speed. Is this true or false? Has anyone else experienced this condition.

Next time get a Ford...
Ok....does it persist?....does it go away?...may very well be the ABS self check. See your service manager...he'll clarify for you. It's brand new! Why would you not go back to the dealer, I'm sure they would be glad to explain or investigate!

I had a metallic noise on the TSX. Turns out it was a piece of plastic near the fender area that rattled around at high speeds.

The truck is under warranty. If you have a concern, take it to the dealer. Toyotas rarely have warranty issues at such low mileage.
