No, the rims are not reflective but it's more of a pearl-effect paint.  The tires do have reflective trips around the bead though.

Just picked up a new old stock Banshee Pyre frame earlier today...  I'm really looking forward to building this baby up.

I'm pretty sure it is 7000-series aluminum tubing.  I'll have to verify when I get back home.  Painted finish.  The colour is "mercury".

Very good looking Banshee, post pics when it's ready.

New frame.

Out goes the Astro XTC with Horst Link 100mm rear suspension, replacing it comes a Haro Sonix LT with VLS 120mm rear suspension. Will have to rise the RS Reba to 120mm to fit it right.



Can't wait to get it ready.

Last setup before the swap. Wheel is back from the factory, I managed to snap a sealed bearing from the freehub. All bearing where changed and the wheel was realigned.

Didn't test on the trail yet, but did some rides on the asphalt. The bike feels more "in hand", fast and agile. The rear suspension is great.

Bought my daughter an Electra Townie 7d 20" for her birthday. It was a little pricey but most kids bikes are heavy . This has an aluminum frame and low center of gravity.

Through a dealer. Typical border issues; Electra distributor in Canada won't import the kids bikes and US dealers can't ship into Canada. Only way is to physically buy in the USA and bring it across. Works out good because it gives me an excuse for a Whitefish, Montana ski weekend. :banana:

Distributor in Canada says they don't sell in Canada (It could be that the Can. MSRP was $450). They said parents don't want to spend that kind of money on a kids bike. I see differently. A kid should be able to get 4 years out of a 20" wheel bike. At the end of those four years I should be able to sell for $150. The alternative is to buy a low end disposable bike every year or two...

Funky little one, nice bike.

I was thinking on getting one of those foldable bikes for the day-by-day ride, saw some from Dahon, pretty interesting, they even have an MTB foldable bike.
