Long story short...there are little specks of white spray paint all over the P5.  Angry Sad It doesn't look like paint, but the car essentially looks dirty ALL THE TIME or the paint has faded. It is mostly on the front end of the car (hood, bumper, fenders).

Is there any way to get it off? Acetone (nail polish remover) diluted in water?

Are you sure its paint.   I have had a similar thing when driving past roadworks where the guys are preparing a concrete road surface. They spray some white stuff all over the concrete and it drifts with the wind onto passing cars.  Comes off with a thorough wash with warmish water.

Don't use acetone.  Try  Methyl Hydrate  or Varsol. In my experience neither of those affects modern car paint... but try the wash first.

Its paint.  Angry

I shall explain. The car was parked right in front of the garage and it was open. My dad was inside the garage, spray painting some stuff for the house...it was a windy day. He proceeded on painting.  Roll Eyes

The rest is self explanatory.  Sad  Some people lack common sense. A section of our driveway and part of our garage floor has a nice coat of white.

We tried the warm water thing already. No go.

Varsol within 30 minutes will do it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Smiley

We used varsol in water, and it all came off. Now the car needs another waxing.

Probably wouldn't hurt to give it a nice once-over with the clay bar and then another coat of wax as you had mentioned.

Is there any way to get it off?

My new BMW coupe that I bought back in 1996 had a light dusting of clear paint overspray all over it. Not trusting the dealer, I took care of it myself.

Meguiar's Swirl Remover; an ultra fine polish removed it all while leaving the finish "glass like". By hand, you'll make a career of it; I'd advise getting an orbital polisher.
