Last night, I parked my Sebring with exactly 80,000 kilometers on the odometer, an average of 10,500 per year.  Not bad for a car that hit the road on November 30, 2001.

How was the Sebring to you? I loved that car when it first came out and almost bought one in 2001. I rented it a lot between 2002 and 2003 and I liked it. It went south for me in 2003 I believe when Chrysler changed the interior materials (cheap) and the front grill.

BTW: Last year I only put about 8000 km on my Mazda3 and this year I don't think I did much better. The wife drives it to the Go station and grocery shopping but that's about it. I still take it for longer drives to keep it in good shape.

Good stuff, the car is still new!  That means you can easily keep it another 8 years. How's the body of the car holding up to those winnipeg winters? Wink

So far, so good.  No unscheduled visits to the dealer and I'm averaging nearly 30 mpg overall.

I was hoping to keep the Sebring until I retire: another 14 years.  Wink

The body is holding up well.  No rust to be seen anywhere.

Congrats on reaching 80,000km in 8 years.   It's almost like you're barely driving it.  Cheesy

I like that generation Sebring! It looks great, is incredibly comfortable on the highway, and (for the time my mom's company leased it) was reliable. Then they brought out the "new" Sebring. Roll Eyes

I think we'll have you beat on the "low-km-club", though--we're doing about 6K km a year, though that's sure to increase once I begin my work term (it was either buy now or buy in a year, and we figured we might as well reap the benefits for an extra year...).

Cool! That happened to me a while ago where the C30 landed exactly on 12,000 kms when I parked it. Didn't take a pic though.

Any major problems with it to date?

Congrats on hitting 80K - sounds like your sebring has been a great car. I'm afraid my mom may have you beat in the low-mileage dept: 1999 volvo S80, bought as a demo with ~10k on the clock, just broke 70,000km's in June Grin

See, it is possible Dodge can make a car than can and will last. Will wonders never cease. I have yet to see a rusty Sebring. So I think they are holding up well. Even the design is still looking contemporary. The Media has never like this car.  Smiley

No major problems to date.  No minor problems either!  Just regular maintenance.

The last generation Sebring was probably the most underrated domestic on the market. I always really liked driving them, they were the most reliable car Chrysler made and yet they got not advertising budget at all. Never understood that. Hardly ever saw a warranty claim on one but then again we didn't sell many.

Well the Dakota trucks were not bad, either. The LH and all the K cars and their derivatives were awful.

The Sebring was mostly Mitusbishi anyway.

The two door Sebring was, but not the four door.

Congrats Winklovic!

The Sienna has 70,000 km in 5 years; the Forester 28,000 km in 10 months but it will not see the 40,000 per year it was doing this winter/spring.  Slow summer, not much driving or we end up using the van.
