I find the "You know you're not the first." caption disturbing because the model looks like she's 12.
It would work better with a model that actually looks like an adult.
OK. To me she looks 20ish... a youg 20ish indeed and certainly if the ad was made today, the agency would have a sheaf of paperwork attesting to her majority.
I am of a generation which thinks that using attractive women is the correct way to sell male toys such as cars and beer.
I DO wonder why there are not more ads that use attractive men to sell to women... (or men) in/on the mainstream media. Maybe I read the worng newspapers, watch the wrong TV programs and live on the wrong continent to see these things.
After sixteen straight years on a university campus I've had to gradually learn to spot the late teens from the early twenties and the mid-twenties. This particular model looks to me like she's most likely 15, give or take a year or two. It's not that I am immune, or even necessarily object, to the objectification of beautiful young people. It's just that in this case I found the caption creepy.
Now if that ad had someone along the lines of Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox, who are clearly adult women and have also "been around the block" once or twice, then I think it would have lived up to the concept.
