Should be a good market for them - so many trucks are used as work trucks, there's no need for all the frippery when you're beating it to death on construction sites.

I remember the late 70s, when you'd see a basic F100 for $4995.

There has to be a catch...employee pricing?

Probably just GM's standard (at the moment) $8500 pickup discount applied to a 2WD V6 regular cab.

It's a great time to buy a new truck. A friend was looking at 1 to 2 year old Dodge pickups until I showed her the $8000 discount Dodge is giving right now made a brand new truck, same spec, cheaper than the used ones.

The used salesman didn't mention that for some reason. This market has to be a nightmare for them.

One problem can be finding stock. Haven't checked out the Chev dealers but the local Dodge lot is almost empty of new pickups right now, and 2010's are not scheduled to arrive until October.

A real steal.  :o   Ancient 4.3 V6 with 4 speed auto.  AC extra.  Then add 2K for freight, PDI, Admin Fee or whatever the local dealer has up his sleeve.  This is really what the vehicle is worth without government subsidies.
