I have an 05 Buick Allure that has had the steering shaft repacked once under warranty-then replaced off warranty but at dealers expense and now seven months later with the same problem Iam told that this will be an ongoing issue and that will need repack

05 Buick Allure steering

 I have an 05 Buick Allure 62km that has had the steering shaft repacked once under warranty then replaced off warranty but at dealers expense and now seven months later with the same problem Iam told that this will be an ongoing issue and that it has to repacked every six months($60-70)per shot and it is not a safety issue . Any suggestions?

Hmm, funny how this problem happened at 62,000 km........It is like the cars were designed to fail just after warranty. Of course, that could NEVER, ever, in a billionteen years ever happen.......

Here are your choices.

1. Live with it.

2. Pay to repack it.

3. See if you can get a GMPP and be prepared to pay BIG for it.
