Hey guys..stop makin fun..first yes i bought my car with a carproof report provided by dealer hear in Toronto. They say having carfax also gives you a fuller picture. ex..how many owners, accidents a whole bunch of stuff.

i found it very useful ..i even looked up car /suv i owned that i loved wanted to see where it is now and is it still kicking on the road with a new owner...yep upto 254km and still counting in southern ontario. so cute..lol

i just sent a report to the admin guy for cartalk to verify!!

try me ..i've done some for my friends and my mechanic ..

you may not know me , but i wish someone had this when i needed it ..then i would have requested from them instead.

A clean Carfax report ISN'T a guarantee the car itself is clean. I ran a Carfax report on a vehicle I knew had sustained serious prior damage and the report was clean, ie USELESS.

This lady is quite legit.  She has been on here fussing about her rough idle for a week or so regarding her Nitro.  She was just been generous.

As for VINs    They are displayed in the front window for the world to observe so I don't see an issue giving that out other than it will identify you and identify where you live providing you actually have your information linked to where you live.

You keep YOUR pants on, dolly.  I didn't comment on you or your offer - all I said was a Carfax report can't be relied on to give accurate information on a car's history. I ran my OWN check and the report was INCOMPLETE. What part of that don't you understand? duh!

I'm sure no-one cares but running carfax reports for others has got to be against their terms of service.  ;-)

I could personally reek havoc on the resale value of your car or with the value of your car should it be written off if I had the VIN. I would not do this as it would cost me my job but the fact it I COULD do it. Vins are faked and used for stealing cars or other types of fraud.

Whether this person is being nice or not isn't the point. You have no idea who is behind a post on the internet. I think there are more than a few nice Nigerian people who say they want nothing more than to give 10% of the fortune they need help moving out of the country if you will just send them banking info. Aren't they nice!
