My 08 TL one year later
« on: May 23, 2009, 12:13:43 am »
I spent a few hours today washing, waxing, and cleaning my car.  It's hard to believe it's been a year.  I used Turtle Wax liquid ice on it.  Can't say I care for it.  It is difficult to polish the oily residue off.  Used Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner on the seats....
Still shines up nice but I wish Acura /Honda would do something about their thin paint. Found a couple of stone chips on the hood.

Stone chips are a pain on black cars.. as are scratches... and swirls.. Looks good! I washed and waxed mine last week, and I have at least a dozen small chips on the hood. That's the 401 for you..

I agree with you on the paint. More chips on the TL than I had on the S60 after 4 years. The TL is a great car but the paint is not it's strong point.

Great job on detailing your car. Now I have to do mine...

This car still looks brilliant, the new TL is a completely different idea/animal.

I like this one better, still.

Nice work, Weston.   Have you considered 3M clear film/Stongard for the front?

Is that your location on the GPS?  :)

Looks great!  I agree about black paint - I love the Fit in black, but after seeing the shape my Civic's black paint was in after a few years, I went with something a little more forgiving on the new ride.

Still, there's denying that a black car looks amazing when clean.

Nice car Tim, definitely one of the best looking sedans out there IMHO.
