Professional Wax
« on: May 04, 2009, 05:39:03 am »
I don't have the proper equipment nor the temperment for waxing. I'll be getting my car done by a professional service. Doesn't need it right now cause the car is brand new, but I figure I'd like to get it done each spring and fall. Just wondering though, what is clay bar?

Hey Markan,

Feel free to contact me if you would like to us to give your vehicle that professional wax/polish/buff that you are looking for. I have the 2009 season brochure ready as well, so if you would like a copy simply provide me with your e-mail address and I will send that to you.

A clay bar is a fantastic tool that is used after washing the vehicle. It is essentially as it sounds 'a bar of clay' which is used to remove surface contaminants (i.e. industrial fallout, over-spray, brake dust debris - those tiny tiny little rust specs, etc). It is beneficial as it leaves the paint completely clean and free of contaminants that could potentially shorten the length of the wax. In addition, it also provides a truly 'smooth as glass' finish once you are done. All in all, it is definately worth doing if you are planning on doing a thorough paint treatment.
