Gasp! The cheapest Vespa is just under $5,000 and from there they go up to almost $10,000! :o Gimme a Honda Jazz any day - even with all the options it comes out to around $3,000, and you get Honda reliability at no extra charge. 10 grand for a scooter?? Sheesh!

Already have that.  I'd like a scooter for crazy fuel economy around town.  A 750 or larger bike gets good fuel economy, but not so much better than our Corolla that it makes investing in one for fuel economy alone feasible.  But, a $2K scooter starts to make some sense. The Vespa is stupidly priced.
