Washed and waxed the 98 Bug over the weekend.  Also swapped out the winters.

Wow, looks great for an 11 year old vehicle!

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

What sort of rust treatment do you use with your bug?

Thanks guys.

No rust treatment applied other than what came from the factory.   I am curious to see how long the dual sided galvanized steel would last.  The warranty is 12 years, unlimited mileage for rust perforation.  (Murphy says the holes will start showing up in year 13.)  It has always been hand washed and hand waxed.   Never took it to a car wash.  Stone chips are regularly fixed with touchup paint.

You never wanted to get it sprayed underneath at a car wash?

VWs have pretty solid body panels.

Looks great.  Wonderful, shiny paint for an 11 year old car (or any car for that matter).  I can even see your reflection on the side shot mirrored in the door panel.

I'm getting my Sebring detailed later this month.  I hope it looks as good as your Beetle when it's done.
