You know, I've heard people say about the new GT500, "540 horsepower? That's it?" 
Well, the people whining in the V8 Vantage thread should be happy. Lots of comments that "It costs $200k, I expect more horsepower." Obviously those posters should be looking at the Mustang and not an Aston Martin...

As to this car... the power is very, very impressive. And the looks are killer. But in spite of that, it just doesn't do it for me. For $50k, I would rather a luxury sports car like a 135i, or a rally-inspired supercar killer like the EVO... the GT500 barely even registers. And it's not that I don't enjoy muscle cars... I adore the Challenger, but for some reason, the Mustang just doesn't do it for me.

Of course, I'll wager that viewpoint could be turned around by a test drive, so perhaps all hope is not lost! It certainly sounds like Ford has done a hell of a job with the 2010 Mustang...
