Yeah the new aero rules seem to be doing the job of allowing cars to follow each other a bit better.  The mid pack (RedBull, Williams, BMW, Ferrari, Toyota) are very close in speed, which helps as well.

I can't believe that KERS was not a factor in the race.  Take BMW for example, one car with KERS and the other without.  Kubica (without) racked up a bunch of fastest laps, but Heidfeld (with) was nowhere to be seen.  If KERS does not win in the next couple races, I can see them dropping it, unless the system becomes a lot lighter or the minimum weight of the entire car is increased.

Also wondering if the diffuser issue will be equalized by the coming weekend, with all teams employing the 'illegal' diffuser.  I wonder if that would really draw in the Brauns and Toyotas to the rest of the peleton, or do the 2 front-running teams have something more to set them apart?

What a spectacular race!  Can't wait till Sunday (3am  :-\ )
