Cabin air filter
« on: March 24, 2009, 04:05:46 pm »
Does anyone know were the cheapest place to get a cabin air filter for a 2003 Honda civic.
I called Canadian tire and they quoted me $30, Honda quoted 18.99 but when I got there to buy it they said oh ya but you need 2 of them (side by side) so its $40 after taxes. I found a place in the US HondaAccessories.com that has them for 9.50 USD but they don't ship to Canada.

I'm sure someone here has had to replace theres before.
I did find this nice video on how to change them in the current civic on you tub.

If you have no allergies, you can replace it with a washable furnace filter.  I get the blue stuff from Canadian Tire and cut it to the proper size.

The cabin air filter for your Honda Civic is the same as the one for my Acura EL. I have been unable to find a good aftermarket one that's as good as the OEM filter(I have allergies). I just get them from the local Honda dealership. Replacement takes all of 5-10 minutes. It;s really simple. All you do is drop the glove box and slide the old filters out and put the new ones in.
