Quote
Weather experts are in agreement that the 57th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida will be run under mostly sunny skies with temperatures near 80 degrees. America’s oldest and most prestigious endurance race takes the green flag at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 21st.

Long-range forecasts show mild temperatures and a very low percentage chance of rain the entire four-day event.

I fly out Thursday night -- YEEHAA!

Do you get to drive anything exotic on the track as well?
Very cool!

Sounds like a cool trip Wing. Bring back lots of pics and stories.

Oops "of" == "or"  Fixed.

No exotics or track driving. Just watching and some pit tours.  Last time I toured the pits taking photos was not allowed so probably the same this time :(.  I will be driving the Q5 and Q7 though on the roads.

Just watching the Acura Project LMP1 on Speed.  Do you think Acura will have a chance with a gas engine?

They didn't choose diesel because they don't have a diesel engine in the US line up. Big mistake IMHO.

Wish I could have gone to this, in a couple of years I'm gonna make this an annual pilgrimage.

Hey Bob,

These guys visit both tracks near me...Detroit (1/2 hour from me)...and Mid-Ohio (4 hours from me).  If you...or any member here wants to tag along with Import Queen and I, we generally hit both of these races.
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

You have 2 choice for great races at Mid-Ohio though.

I watched this yesterday. I can’t wait to see the Acura run against the Audi and Peugeot. I can’t believe they designed the car without ever taking it to a wind tunnel. Simply amazing!  I wish they had concentrated more on the design and build of the car, but I’m sure there are privacy and trade secret issues with that. But none the less, it was a great show.

Whether it’s a mistake or not I guess we’ll wait and see.

It was a good program, unfortunately for Acura diesels have been dominating for a few years now, I hope they do well but I can't see them beating Audi or Peugeot.

Brabham's young son is sooooooooooo lucky!

Acura did Qualify 1st and 6th. But then again racing for 12 hours is a different story.

Yah I know. I wish my dad had been interested in motorsports and/or cars.
