Not sure if it helps, but the tires are Goodyear Nordic M+S P155/80R13 79S. They're currently on sale at Canadian Tire at $39.36 a piece!  :rofl2:

Alright, so they're cheap tires... will these last me a couple of years (say around 18,000km total)?

13" rims?  That'll work on a 1990's era Suzuki Swift.   ;D

I'd love it when auto supplers and dealers:

1. advertise prices reflective of TYPICAL intallations (Can Tire does have a variety of sized in some ads)
2. have a picture of the $157 bi-weekly model they are advertising - not the top of the line model
3. include an ALL IN payment (dealers quote like airline tickets $100 one way w/o the mention of $350 in taxes and surcharges

You shouldn't be cheap when it's a matter of yours or others wife and kids' safety. If that's not a valid point, I don't know what is!

Great point! That's why I make sure to drive WINTER tires in the winter...  ;D

Yup me too. WInters are safest in the winter. I put AllSeason/Summer  tires on when winter is over for maximum saftey

Winters are far from ideal for saftey in the summer. Be safe buy some All Seasons or summer tires. Don't put yourself and others at risk just to save a few dollars.

Although some of the V rated winters would do ok in a regular summer without too many high speed expressway trips. But I grant they would wear faster and be less grippy in the following winter.

Alright, well I've found a set of A/S tires on wheels for 100$. The guy said his 2003 Accent was totalled with its set of winter tires on and that left him with the set of all-seasons. He said they have about 40k on them, and by looking at them, I'd swear they've only been used a couple of months... There's a ton of thread left. They are the wheels that came with the car originally, and from what I can see, they're exactly the same as those on my car right now, except 2 less years of rust!  ;D

I'll install them tonight!  :)

True that, I switched from V-rated OEM All seasons to H-rated Nokian WRG2. They've been fine for two winters, have done numerous long drives in summer/fall, by winter, they should have worn out quite a bit and behave like an all-season in winter. For my circumstances, worked very well.

Don't go too cheap on a set of a/s tires . I would say don't run the winter tires in summer as they do wear out faster than regular because of the rubber compound that's used. If you can get Nokian WR's or WRG2 they are both good in winter if you need them. There are many many tires to choose from so just do some research to see what others think of there tires. I recommend tirerack , it may help you decide what you need. Safety is very important if you have children or not . Good Luck !!!! There's lots of advice here too.
