09 Matrix under coating.
« on: March 11, 2009, 08:31:15 pm »
Hi,
I just got a 2009 Toyota Matrix.  I want to do the under coating in Krown. But some one told me that Krown guy will drill holes in my car, those holes will void the manufacturer's warranty. Is it true? Will those holes get rust later? Or, if I ONLY want to do under coating, what should I do, and where should I go? Thanks.

I am in Markham, Ontario. If I don't do the under coating, can my car last 10 years long?

Hi there

Gratz on the Matrix!

That is a pile of crap...if the dealer/salesperson tells you that, ask them to put that into writing, they will quickly change their tune. Also check out krown.com/#faqs... if you want more info lemme know :)

Congrats on the car Majictone. This may be late for you
since you posted in March but if you still worried or anyone
else concerned about drilling, don't worry.  After the spray
process, the holes are treated with white grease before the
plugs are added. No rust on my cars I had done in 2005.

Just as a side note, you can also look at 'Rust Check' as they offer a lifetime warranty with annual applications, and their products are extremely friendly with respect to the environment. They 'claim' that their dripless formula or whatever doesn't drip like crazy following the application as well.

Worth checking out IMO!

They also had a habit of declaring bankruptcy to avoid their obligations.

Essentially, Krown evolved and was formed by ex Rust Check dealers who were fed up with shady business practices and poor product from Rust Check.  Now things may have improved considerably during the last 5 years, but Krown is superior.

Rust Check was acquired by Dominion Sure Seal - a company which has been in business for many years and owns Meguiar's Canada. It is unfortunate that things happened the way they did in the past - however since Dominion Sure Seal purchased the assets from the previous Rust Check endeavour, things have been run properly.
