Chevrolet, Optra LS 2005 Wagon ?

I dont really have mush informations about this model , cretics are not mush to relied on !

Does anybody have comment on that particular model of chevrolet ?

A friend of mine does have a 2004 with the 2.0 litre engine in it. So far the only problem he has had is the bottom pulley on the crankshaft has spunt the fanbelt and needs to be replaced. His has well over 140,000 klms on it with no maintenance at all other then the oil changes and air filters.

The Optra is not a bad car, made by Deawoo in Korea. It is rough and crude but it is basically a pretty reliable car. Much of it is sourced out of Australia.

When Deawoo first started showing up in north america under their actual name in the 90's, we had seen the models at a car show in montreal.   I found the cars to be pretty well built, felt like it was made of good quality material.   The Kia cars on the other hand felt and looked like sub standard vehicles.(That was a long time ago) Not sure about todays models, altough they do look a little better, I still question the reliability.   That being said, I would worry about futur maintenance needed on the cars, I doubt that the parts are going to be easy to come by, unless they share a lot of parts with Cobalts/Pursuits...aka(Cavaliers/Sunfires)

Not one part is common between and Optra and a Cav,

Why should they be as they are 2 different models of cars with 2 different engine models as well. 2 Different manufacturers as well so I would doubt there would be much similarity between them other then the size as they are both in the same class.
