Our Firetrucks were all Red here in london years ago and then they tried the newer Yellow colour. They now have completed going back to the Red Firetruck colours as they replaced them over the years again. They claimed the Red were seen much easier from a Longer distance is why and folks recognized them easier for what they are as well.  :)

While on the phone with my car insurance company (The Personal), they stated car colour doesn't matter at all to them in terms of what they charge for premiums.

My father is an insurance adjuster who verified the answer as well. Colour doesn't matter on the car.
