Headlampes - Low and High Beam

Not sure why the other thread got locked. I guess there wasn't any in it.
My manual calls for 9007 LL. Is the LL  part important in terms of fit for your car?

LL stands for Long Life.  Not really important.  A Sylvania SilverStar will probably be called the 9007ST.

While on a social call at the dealership the other day I asked them what they charge for bulb installations. Approx $17 each

I ended up buying the silverstar ST ones. The 12 month warning message on the ultra's scared me away.  I was also surprised that 2 ST's were a few dollars more then ultra's were.

I tried the Silverstar 'cool blue', slightly brighter but burnt out way too fast for me. Went back to the regular halogens.

the ST package didn't say anything about life. I'll find out if that is good or bad

I think the SilverStars are rated 300 hours lower than standard halogens.  It's somewhere on Sylvania's website.

Thanks Squishy you beat me to it. The Silverstars & Nighthawks tend to live very short lives(6mo-1year), hold on to your receipt.

The horizontal lighting on them is just amazing. On a 3 lane highway I found it lit-up the roadside on both sides of the road no matter which lane I was in.
