Unless you are pushing  well over 500Hp you may have trouble staying up with Rrocket and his car. I have seen him run and its very fast in the 1/4 mile for sure. His is built more for that style of racing I believe but probably would be good in the slolam style as well. Those twins turbo's do add a lot of boost in his.  Smiley

My telling rrocket that I would give him a run for his money was (mostly) tongue firmly in cheek!  I can do the math:

Power to weight ratio (standard measures)
-----------------------------------------
My car:  155 bhp / 2000 lb = 0.078
His car:  320 bhp / 3486 lb = 0.091

I'm comparing against an un-modded Supra Turbo (source Wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Supra#Mark_IV_.281993-2002.29)

Factoring in my close-ratio five speed and my grabby twin puck Centerforce clutch and it might make things interesting for the first 100 or so feet in a drag race but I would be sniffing his exhaust beyond then as his turbos spool up and kick in.

I'd eat him whole in a slalom though!  I know this because even before I modded my CRX Si with the Koni coilovers, adjustable perches and sport springs I was dining on Vettes.

Light makes right.

There is one way to resolve this.   Take it to the drag strip and next autocross event.   Smiley

Not to make you cry, but I saw a pair of mid 1980's CRXs being crashed into a rubber moose in an episode of Myth Busters last night.  They were testing the myth that you should accelerate into the moose when a collision is inevitable to increase the chance that it will fly over your car when you knock its legs out.  Busted!

Ha ha!  I saw that episode with my kids.  *They* almost cried until I pointed out that those were 1st-gen CRXs and had been chosen not because they were junkers (although they probably were) but rather because part of the myth busting was to determine if the height of the car had any effect on the myth's mythical nature.  It didn't.  Both of the CRXs were opened up like sardine cans.

My wife and my daughter and I saw the effects of a moose strike in suburban Ottawa, south of the airport about 2 years ago.  An elderly gentleman hit one, ironically while on his way to visit his wife in a rural hospital.  His Hyundai Elantra was a write-off but thankfully he survived though he was seriously injured.  My wife and I rendered first aid while my daughter called 911.  The man continued his journey to the hospital, but in an ambulance!    Shocked

I'm sure you are having a blast with the car.

I had an 89 Civic SI Hatch for 17 years and it broke my heart to let it go. I just started to loose the battle with rust problems.

Have fun  Smiley

Some newer pics of my CRX.  New 215/40ZR16 Falken FK452 stretched around 16x7 Fast Viper rims.  Ran out of tire black though...darn!

Car's homepage at http://www.ncf.ca/~ax883/index.htm  New paint job is coming this year.

Love the new rims!

Are you sticking to the original colour, or changing it up?

Definitely original!

About $2500.  One of the reasons the rims look good is that I've lowered the car about 1.5".  Reduces the wagon wheels on a stagecoach look of an unlowered car with big rims.  Just think of dubs on an SUV.  Just a couple of turns of a wrench on the coilover perches!  Oh, and I have camber kits installed on all four corners to maintain proper camber as the car is lowered.  Otherwise those fat new tires will wear excessively on the inside.

Love the CRX...any of 'em.

I don't typically like aftermarket wheels.  These seem to blend in well however...good choice.

I wouldn't go the aftermarket if Honda didn't make such sucky looking OE rims.  I've had lots of Hondas over the years but have never been a big fan of the Honda OE alloy rims.
