Thanks, airb, I have seen bits & pieces of that new X1 on BMW websites also. I like it better (based on what one has seen so far) than the X3 in that the X1 looks to be more car-like and not catering to the "gotta have an SUV crowd". The size might be about right also.
I'm thinking we won't see the X1 in NA tho for about 2 years yet, more like a 2011 model, maybe introduced in the mid to later 2010.
We could wait that time as there is nothing wrong with the Highlander (only 53K on it) except that wife would like something a bit smaller, and I have the "itch" again (always!). Counterbalance all that with wife not wanting to spend much dinero right now. So, we'll see what shakes out.
