Bad video. That's the kind of song that led to the invention of the mute button. The jumpy editing makes it impossible to really tell what the car looks it, but my impression is that it's too girly-looking for me. And it looks like the "utility" is badly compromised by the "sexy". I like the old Too-sawn better.

The interior looks pretty good too and rather rich (in the pictures at least). I don't like the seats, but they may use different seats for N/A. |

I think I can see stitched leather on the center armrest and on the door panels. Sweet. |

Per the Hyundai Canada web site this is out in January (Sonata February).
I'm really keen on how they'll price it. Even though it has far more premium features, hope they can pull off something magical with pricing.
Any word on what's happening with the Kia Sportage? |

I can't find it on the website. Redesigned Tucson is being released as a 2010 MY while the new Sonata is 2011. I wonder if it means that 2011 Tucson will get a GDI or even a turbo to bring the output to 200hp. |

Based solely on pictures, that appears to be a class-leading interior. I love the exterior too. Huge upgrade from the current one, in my opinion. |

Well we dont want to see your drools no matter how good looking the car is , but I've driven a V6 Tucson and would like to hear your first impression with the redesign. |

WOW. Best-looking cute ute out there, inside and out. Interior looks nicer than a Tiguan, and the exterior is just stunning. Shame they didn't put this mug on the new Sonata too. Oh ! My ! I'd read what you have to say. I'd keep in mind that you're a salesman and thus have some self-interest, but I'm still interested in reading what you'd have to say. |

Six-speed manual transmission! Nice to see in a segment where most companies only offer autotragics. |

Finally, a proper 4-cylinder option in this vehicle. I certainly would have picked that engine over the 2.7L V6 I have in mine.
I like the new design overall, but I'm curious to see if the sloped rear will eat into cargo space. It also looks like they skipped the rear popup window... big mistake, IMO.
As for the interior, it does look to be a great quality, but I'm not too fond of the center stack too much... It looks Toyota-like to me. Everything round, different 'levels' (like the seat heater buttons). I'm not sure how those air vents will work; looks like the air will be hitting the hand on the steering wheel instead of going to the driver's head. Steering wheel & gauges look great though. Overall, it's not bad, but I think I prefer the cleaner and simpler look of the stack in my Sportage.
Regarding it's size, this bit is interesting: 2010 TUCSON 61 POUNDS LIGHTER THAN THE OUTGOING MODEL DESPITE BEING THREE INCHES LONGER • The 2010 Tucson is 3.3 inches longer and one inch wider than its predecessor, yet 61 pounds lighter • 2010 Tucson has a longer wheelbase and overall width than CR-V, Escape and Forester to deliver more packing efficiency • Body stiffness is 38 percent greater than Rogue
I'm curious to see if the cargo room has been improved and if the seats fold flat. Passenger space looks to be great, as it is in the current version. From what I can see, cargo volume behind rear seats went up to 25.7 cu.ft. from 22.7 cu.ft. I wonder how that translates in actual size.
Overall, another impressive vehicle from Hyundai! If pricing is similar to the outgoing model, I'm not sure why anyone would even consider the CR-V & Rogue! I can still see why people would prefer the RAV-4 (bigger) and Forester (better AWD), but what do the CR-V & Rogue offer over this new Tucson?? |
