We just bought the V6 Sport for my wife. The deal was 2K off 0% or 5K off and 3.05%. The 5K off was a better deal for us so that is what we took.
She gets the car on ether Monday or Tuesday. It should be a nice upgrade from her 2003 civic and much easier with a child seat.

It was the 2010 I don't think the 2011 are out yet or at least the dealer (Kanata auto park) didn't have any.

Are there any negatives with the Santa Fe?

Wife has a 2010 Santa Fe Limited with Navi/Leather. Overall a good machine, but driving it feels a little top heavy - feel I have to be extra careful going around corners not noticeable in other SUVs. Doors feel too light - normal swing of the doors which you use on other vehicles doesn't always result to doors shutting. Disappointed with the anaemic washer fluid coverage of the windscreen.....the jets barely reach one third of the windscreen. Ride is on the harsh side but that could be due to the 18 inch tires it comes with....recently switched over to 16 inch winters and it feels better.

Canada is a diverse country... The dealers are different in every province.

Overall i'm very happy with the SantaFe..  The other day I had to drive home 450 kms through the storm we are having here in BC..over three mountain passes.. all kinds of condition's. Icey roads, slushy roads..and a lot of snow.  The SantaFe never lost composure or spun a wheel.  Awesome! Nokian Haka's are a big part of that.. AWD too..  I'm now getting about 9.5 l per 100 kms , I'm happy with that.. I don't ever expect the 7.7 that the window sticker says. And I don't drive like granma... more like 105..  Keep the rpms under two thousand and you will do well.. go over and watch the fuel gauge drop... Econo light goes out at 115 kmph..

Here's a heads up... My Sister rolled her new Matrix down over a bank off the road.. in this bad weather!  it came to rest against a tree on it's side.. Totaled. She was ok , only bruised a bit.  After she got out and was looking at her poor car.. she realized that the airbags had not gone off ?  What ? and then she saw the tire iron in the front seat with her... seams there is no latch on the spare tire compartment ?  Hello Toyota... Now I'm glad to see those latches on the SanraFe.. She's car shopping and it won't be a Toyota.

I turned the eco light off in mine the day I took the car.  Ditto in my GF's new Elantra.  It's basically useless and even comes on when accelerating.  My ScanGauge II is much more useful.

With winter approaching, my fuel economy is getting worse now in the 9.5 l/100 km range.

Got my set of Continental Extreme Winter Contact tires installed Friday.  Haven't driven in snow or bad weather yet but can say that they are very silent on dry pavement for a winter tire.

Hey ... Something I've noticed .. Everything lights up such a nice blue when the headlights are on..  Except in my SantaFe the plus & minus on the shifter console do not ?  Odd since the other ( P R N D ) does.  Anyone else have this ... or do I have lights out right from the factory... Huh

Hmm interesting... I'll double-check in the Sonata, but I'm pretty sure the +/- are lit. If so, it's odd they didn't do the same with the Santa Fe.

Yes I will.. But no problems so far...have 8000 kms and lovin this Ute !  My fuel avg is around the 10L/ 100kms mark.. I can better that by slowing down a little and keeping the tach under 2 grand. On some fill ups I've gotten as good as 9.4L / 100kms. And this is in the mountains !  One of the passes I drive over is 8.5% grade for 5 kms, and the FE will go any speed you want.. but I keep it close to the 100kph . And with my Nokian snow tires I've never felt any loss of control..  Awesome !

Yep, +/- are lit in the Sonata. It is odd they skipped this on the Santa Fe, especially considering most people seem to think they're reversed (up should decrease a speed, down should increase a speed) and might confuse people on how it's set up without the */- being properly lit.
