Hyundai surely score best at practical, large volume, value priced vehicles. Reliable, if my Accent is anything to go by. I wonder if this latest project will score well enough to pay for itself; or enhance the perception of the rest of the lineup. Too many products in this class surely with cache identity. I saw it referred to as competition for 300M amongst others. I thought that rear wheel drive in this area was not selling well. Too much space taken up by the tunnel and engine and traction not as good as front wheel drive. There are enthusiasts though but they are not the mainstream methinks.
Anyway this is a super looking car from the photos. If it will find a niche remains to be seen.

Gee, and I thought Hyundai might be getting into the model train business.  Wonder if there will be a battle for the Genesis name:

If a fight breaks out for the name "Genesis," I think both Hyundai and Athearn are going to lose.

anyone have a genesis with snow tires and would like to comment? Seeing it in person, the middle has a huge hunch in the middle I guess you got to make way for the drive shaft somehow.
