Just what the world needs right now, another big, leather-lined luxo barge for the country club set. I recall reading a story a few years ago about people waiting in breadlines during the Dirty Thirties throwing rocks and bottles at any Lincoln or Caddy that happened by. History may very well be repeating itself.
At least they were driving a Domestic.

Why is it that every single thread about ANYTHING besides compacts and subcompacts has a post like this? It's not like people quit buying everything but Yarises and Versas when the stock market takes a dive. |

All I'm saying is the times we're in might not be the best to flaunt your wealth. The world really doesn't need more cars like this when it's economy is going to Hell in a handbasket. |

We're talking about a Lincoln, not a Bentley. Just for the record. I'd call this an upper-middle-class car, and would never assume that someone who bought it was trying to "flaunt wealth." Heck, a TSX probably has just as much badge prestige. |

The only thing that matters. Will it make a good limo for the downtown to airport run. Thats the only reason for the existence of Lincoln in the Centre Of The Universe.

Even rich people go to IKEA sometimes. During a recent Ikea expedition, I saw a woman in a mink coat trying to get the clerk to wedge a bunch of Ikea flat packs into a BMW M-5. Man, was that comical, especially when my tiny Fit swallowed even more. |

Doesn't mean this has any relevance to the topic at hand though does it? |

But then you'd just post how much money Greg is wasting because it's a depreciating asset and suggest him to buy a Honda Fit because the MKS is too much excess and no one really needs a car of this type ... |

But then you'd just post how much money Greg is wasting. Not at all, in fact I encourage all readers to by said Lincoln. Keeping Ford afloat and the workers in Hermosillo, Mexico gainfully employed is a great thing for all "domestic" car fanbois. |
