Krown and Rain
« on: November 20, 2008, 09:21:11 am »
Hey folks, I just had my car Krowned 2 days ago, and it's been raining pretty heavily ever since.  Do you guys think it will make any difference to the Krowning?? The guys at Krown said it doesn't matter.  By the way, my car is an 08 Mitsubishi Lancer.  Thanks!

It should be fine, as the Krown product requires far more than a bit of rain water to wash it off  ;D Continue puddle-jumping as you were...  8)

Best time to apply crown is late May into early September (especially in the warm months). The heat allows Krown to spread and penetrate all manner of cracks and crevices.

I'm slightly late on this post. Really its wind you need to worry about. Rain won't hurt it at all.

Do you guys think it will make any difference to the Krowning??

It won't make much of a difference. Did they use T40 (tan) or T32 (pink)? If the latter, make sure they use T40 the next time; its thicker, but flows just as well.

If this is a first application, get some dust to stick to the Krown. A drive down a dusty back road will help (if it ever stops raining). A few applications over the years and a good Krown-soaked layer of dust will form.
