After every race weekend, I check out all the high res photos from MotoGP.  This past weekend was the season finale.  Anyways....Check out the funky EV spotted in the Yamaha paddock.  Apparently, this was the first EV in the world to sport a lithium-ion battery (shown as a proto in early 2000).  I guess Yamaha has a pretty advanced EV side of their company using their technology called "Passol".  Lightweight (this scooter folds up to fit in the trunk of a car and weighs a mere 45KG.)  The model pictured is the "Pocke" and is now a production street-legal model.  Apparently they have several street legal models in Japan.  Just thought it was cool that it was being used as a "pit bike" for Yamaha's MotoGP team.

I rode a Yamaha Passol well over a decade ago and it was a small, cute and very capable machine. It had a gas four stroke back then and either variable or automatic tranny. It looked nothing like this one and was the most adorable thing in our gang
