I'm really liking the Corvette GS too...I think they'll do well with that one.
I dunno..when I saw it I thought "Same old GM". Add on some scoops and vents to make it look like a Z06 without it actually being a Z06 or having Z06 performance and sell it.
I can see why as the functional changes come with the manual transmission.

With the MT, you get the dry-sump engine that's made in the same plant as the Z06 and CTS-V...hand-built and signed by the guy that built it. That's cool. Even cooler that it gets more HP than the engine that's not hand-built.
The GS also gets the Z06 brakes...along with the scoops, and other bodywork from the Z06 to make room for the GSs larger tires.
Here's the Autoblog summary:
"That's only about $6,000 more than the base car and nearly $20,000 less than the Z06. This may be one of the best performance bargains on the road even if its seats do suck. Zora would be proud."http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/20/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-corvette-grand-sport/Oh...one more thing from AutoBlog - "using the new launch control system "WILL NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY" – unlike a certain Japanese sports car."
