I'm surprised they didn't test a Corvette Z06, they only test a Corvette with the Z51 handling package.

Why did the lexus do so poorly?

Holy Cobalt Batman...  :o

:iagree: That is hugely impressive considering the competition.

That Cobalt SS TC is a monster.  Common Vman, you know you want another one...your Chevy man-love tells you so.

Why did the lexus do so poorly?

Cause it weights a million tons?

Surprised by the SRT-8 challenger.    S2000 placed high considering it's so weak on power now.

Well did everyone think I was lying when I said like a month of two ago that the new Cobalt was the "best handling FWD on the market...and maybe of all time."

How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

 :iagree:

It did set the all-time 'ring record for a FWD car by over 13 seconds....

Chevy man-love says "yes".

Wife, age, looking for refinement, and devastating crash say "no"

I'm also suspicious of the Viper ACR.  In most every test thus far, the Viper ACR came along with its own factory suspension technician to set the car up for test venues.  Apparently at least one magazine was told they could not test the car unless their technician was allowed to set the car up...

I believed you RR!

I saw a HHR SS accelerate onto the highway one day at what must have been full chat! That sucker really hauled ass!

I believe they don't test cars that aren't all-new or significally updated. I don't know if the new 911s are making their rounds yet?

Yeah - I mean the ACR, especially with a tech is pretty much a full track car - mostly everything else is street-first.....other than the Mosler, obviously. The ACR is a beast, though.

I've been spending a lot of time on Subaru forums under the assumption I may purchase a WRX 265.....they are all none-to-happy about their beloved STi having such a poor showing. I wonder how the 265 would have stacked up. For some reason I feel it could have done better than the STi based on the R&T Turbo article.

I am happy though, that a lot of members of other sport compact forums are starting to give the Cobalt some credit. Obviously there are many haters who would never give it its due no matter how great it might be - but this could be good for the Cruze when it replaces the Cobalt ---- if they keep the performance bar high and give it some refinement and snazzy-looks they could finally have a true winner in all respects.

I sent Snowy a PM a few days back about a modding session on an 2009 Sti.  For about $1000 the car picked up nearly 100TQ and 75 or so HP.  I have the numbers at home...So I may be off.  Maybe Snowy can Copy/Paste the PM I sent him....These cars mod very, very nicely.  Almost as easy as a Supra... ;D
