Which Of The Following Features Would You Recommend If I Plan To Use My Gps System Primarily While Driving?

Auto rerouting, entertainment features, compass and altimeter or multi-modal navigation? Which 1?

Just the first one, and even the most basic models do this pretty well.  You don't need entertainment features, will probably make you crash.

Auto rerouting is very important and useful.

Also, a model which will tell you the name of the street/road you need to turn on is very useful. This is much better than "turn right in 40m" which is not very useful in the city.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 which is perfect for me. The screen is 3.5" which is smaller than most 4.3" that systems have now. For me this is great for travel as I rent vehicles when I am out of province on business.

Naming streets and roads is good...

BUT

It's annoying when:

"Keep right in 100m followed by a keep left, exit 401 dash SW dash (blah blah) dash (blah blah) dash..."  ::)

W/e you get... DON'T get the cheapest one...

True! This is why I keep the volume off my GPS most of the time now. When I need to know which direction my next turn if I can always hit the bottom right of the screen to see what direction my next turn will be. This is very handy when driving in Toronto, Ottawa, and other larger cities where the traffic can be a bit heavy.

The Ms Bridge has a very attractive and supple construction.  I would suggest a harness, lest you be tossed off.   :)

Auto-rerouting (available in almost every new unit nowadays) and secondly text to speech (speaks street names) is a must have for a new unit.

hi,
In my opinion, the multi-modal navigation system is an important part during the use of gos system.
