So is Opel being sold or what? Are they a particularly stable compnay right now? Just saying if you are looking at being a star on the mighty Volt team next November why would you go to Opel that is in such flux?

Wouldn't the stetment above imply that those GM vehicles actually are more reliable than what you so badly want to believe

Sure, especially intake manifold gaskets and electrics..... Grin

good ones! your the best at what you do.

blah blah blah Toyota blah blah blah I feel your pain; you've got a GM, it's worth squat and you owe on it.

Dude, if the displacment is EXACT, it's not "all new".  The intake is different, the VVT is now on both sets of valves  In the automotive world "all new" often means somewhat different

Made a lot of money on intakes, 12 hours retail labour and $400 in parts, got 7% on the labour and 5% on the parts, plus associated snake oil spiffs.  Netted like $150 a job and often sold six or seven a week. Thanks, GM!

articsteve - do you have anything constructive to add or are you just going to continue to bray like an ass?

The demise of GM really bothers you in a personal sense don't it.

and Chevrolet is one of the fastest-growing brands in the countries of the former Soviet Union.

It's just amazing what the average ding dong out there will accept as a fact when the opposite is reality.

GM has a better chance of being named "The Most Successful Corporation Of All Time" than opening a market in Russia for the all American made Volt.  Take this as fact, no country is going to buy this thing.  It's one thing to hear Lutz say the Volt will become America's number one export, but it's completely insane to see that ppl like yourself believe it.  But, there again Harper was voted PM twice, maintains a lead even though he is bankrupting the country.  Smiley

Exactly.  The Russians are gonna get Opel.  That guy will travel to Russia, the Russians will frame him up with some under age girl, he'll get sent to the Gulag where he'll work for stale bread.  Seems like a step down to me even from the Volt.

Good point.   That's something Lutz missed and would be right in context with the whole scheme project:  a virus scrubber in the VOLT'S HVAC system standard.  Think of the publicity that would be getting right now.  Would have set records for PAID preproduction orders.

The closer GM's IPO gets the more fantastic the Volt will become.  After the IPO you will see a significant shift in the rhetoric.  I assume you don't agree .  Smiley

Does that mean after the IPO your sad sad sad anti-GM, and specifically Volt related lunacy, will change? I for one HOPE it doesn't.

Your postings are sad, but funny!

A big thank you, Leviathan, for trying to keep this thread on track and actually sharing useful info about the Volt.

Your efforts are much appreciated.

Reality sure bites, seeing has GM drove itself into the ground and continues to do so. It is now at taxpayer's expense.
